Water Quality Association

The Water Quality Association (WQA), a not-for-profit representing the residential, commercial and industrial water treatment industry, occupies a new headquarters that reinforces their dedication to science and quality. Water-inspired organic forms and a subdued color palette create a calming, trusted environment and encourage movement and flow through the space.

Project Highlights

  • A donor wall showcases the WQA brand and provides a moment of appreciation for the people who help build the WQA vision

  • Wave patterned wall graphics and glass film guide visitors through the tour path

Donor & Recognition Walls, Signage & Wayfinding, Wall Graphics

Location

Lisle, Illinois

Dimensional logos in two shades of metal highlight each WQA division in the reception area. Organic linework pays off the scientific and analytical side of WQA’s personality in calm colors.

Layered water droplets in varying depths form the WQA logo and indicate donation levels on the donor wall. The use of acrylic provides a reflective sheen, similar to water, while the background wave graphic integrates the adjacent water bar.

Wall graphics inspired by the form and colors of water serve as the backdrop for the water bar.

Lab graphics draw inspiration from the WQA Gold Seal, an international mark of product quality and certification awarded to the most reliable and trusted producers of quality drinking water.

Wave-inspired glass film throughout the space adds movement and complements the architectural finishes, using shades of WQA’s brand colors and layers of transparency.
